Account Deletion

We respect your right to delete your account and all associated data. This page explains how to request deletion and what happens next.

This action is permanent and irreversible.

Once your account is deleted, your trip plans, guides, itineraries, and all personal data will be permanently removed from our systems. This cannot be undone. Please export any data you wish to keep before proceeding.

How to Delete Your Account

Step-by-step deletion guide.

Follow these steps to delete your account directly from the app.

Open the Waygo App

Launch Waygo on your device and make sure you're signed in to the account you wish to delete.

Go to Profile Settings

Tap the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar, then tap the settings gear icon in the top right corner.

Select Account & Privacy

Scroll down to the 'Account & Privacy' section and tap 'Manage Account'.

Request Account Deletion

Tap 'Delete Account' and follow the on-screen confirmation steps. You'll be asked to confirm your decision.

Confirm Deletion

Enter your password or complete identity verification when prompted, then confirm you wish to permanently delete your account.

Deletion Confirmed

You'll receive a confirmation email. Your data deletion process begins immediately and completes within 30 days.

Can't access the app?

If you're unable to access your account to delete it in-app, you can request deletion by emailing us directly. Include your registered email address and we'll process your request within 5 business days.

Data We Will Delete

  • Your name, email address, and profile information
  • All trip plans, itineraries, and travel notes
  • Imported guides and saved locations
  • Flight and hotel records
  • Personal preferences and settings
  • In-app messages and support history
  • Profile photo and any uploaded content
Deletion completes within 30 days of your request.

Data We May Retain

Subscription payment records

Required for tax and financial compliance (up to 7 years)

Transaction receipts

Required by app store platforms (Apple/Google/Huawei)

Fraud prevention records

Retained to prevent future abuse (anonymized where possible)

Legal hold data

When required by law, court order, or active legal dispute

Retained data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Deletion Timeline

Immediately

Your account is deactivated. You cannot log in.

Your personal profile data is removed from active systems.

Within 30 days

All remaining personal data is permanently purged.
